about

Recorded for the 'Last Drinks, One More Night' EP

lyrics

I took a job in the valley out East
Somebody put in a good word for me
The rates OK and they treat me alright
The bar tabs paid on a Thursday night

The good folk come and they sit down there
There's a room for me at the top of the stairs
I don’t like those long drives home
There ain’t much light on the winding roads

For my sins I will pay my price
I’ve lied 'til I couldn’t tell wrong from right
The TV’s on with the sound down low
There's just enough light so I can find my clothes

I’ll be awake when the sun comes up
The little sleep I get just isn’t enough
I wouldn’t trade for another man's life
Now a second hand hearts gone and left me dry

I live on top of a mountain in Victoria, Australia. I play guitar, banjo and sing... On rough days I like Tequila shots with a beer chaser.
